August 2020 Progress Report

Hello Backers!
Another month has ended and we're back with another progress report.
Translation for the whole project is now at 55% with editing at 44%. We also did more testing on the current engine and found some issues which requires additional work to make the game engine run properly outside of Japan and in English locale.

Hello Everyone!
We apologize for the lack of updates lately. Everyone has been busy... working on everything lately but we'll try to get back to regular updates on this campaign as soon as possible.
Translation on Rewrite+ and Harvest Festa has been slow in terms of progress as Karolis's previous work needed to be checked over first. This has led to a need to revise our estimates for the digital release of Rewrite+ from November 2020 to January 2021. We do apologize for the slight delay in this release but we promise to everyone that this release will receive all the proper attention it deserves.
In the meanwhile, we've begun programming work on what has already been translated and edited. By tackling this at the same time as translation is progressing, we'll be able to make up for lost time. With that said, we have some screenshots to share of our progress thus far.
About 9,000 lines of text have already been imported for the sake of testing and while certain things still need to addressed such as word wrapping and of course adding in all the other translated character names, we're making good progress on this end.

Intro to staff + Progress Updates

Hello everyone,
We hope everyone's safe from the current COVID-19 pandemic. We're going to start monthly updates as of this month. We first want to introduce the editor and translator for the project and then go in to detail of how far the translation is.
Translator:
Howdy folks. My name's Andrew Hodgson, though I also go by Steiner. I'm working as the new translator on both Rewrite+, and Rewrite: Harvest Festa. I've had plenty of experience with long visual novels like this, and I've worked a good while with Sekai Project in the past as well. So far everything's smooth sailing, I'm getting along well with the team and I'm enjoying the work! Karolis, the previous translator, was a good friend of mine. While it would have been better to join the project under brighter circumstances, I'll be working hard to live up to the legacy he's left behind. Putting that aside, I just want to thank all you backers for supporting the project! I'm just as excited as you are to see this through to completion.

Hello, everyone! I'm Alltears, and I'll be working as the editor on Rewrite+. I've been involved with VNs for a number of years now, but this one's definitely the largest project I've ever undertaken. I'm currently running back through the previously completed text in order to try and give everything a brand new shiny coat while maintaining a consistent tone and style throughout. I'm absolutely thrilled to be working on something this important alongside the rest of our team, so I'll try my hardest to deliver my best work to date. Thanks for your support, and I'm looking forward to you all reading Rewrite+ when it's completed!
Translation:
We've split up our translation progress of Rewrite+ and Rewrite: Harvest Festa so we can better track how far the translation has come along. While that does make the overall progress appear to have been reduced, it doesn't affect anything that has currently been completed and allows us to more easily track the progress of each individual title.
Rewrite+ is at 60% translated and Rewrite: Harvest Festa is 50% translated. As stated in the editor section Alltears is going over and redoing portions and we do not have an accurate editing % at this time.
BackerKit is now live

Hello everyone!
Apologies that this took a few days longer than expected but BackerKit access is now live for this campaign. Some of you may have already gotten invites earlier during our initial smoke test but if you haven't already done so, please check your e-mail address tied to your Kickstarter account for your BackerKit invites.
Since we are well over a year from our projected release date, BackerKit will be left open tentatively till October 31, 2020 so you have a lot of time to get your surveys filled out or add anything to your existing pledge. We'll be sending out regular notifications both here and via BackerKit to remind backers to finish up their surveys once we get closer to the deadline. Remember, even if you do not plan to add anything to your pledge, we kindly ask that you fill out your survey one way or another. Everyone's cooperation is appreciated.
For Slacker Backer users, we just finished importing everyone's information into BackerKit so you folks should be good to go. We appreciate your patience!

BackerKit Opening Very Soon

Hello Everyone!
We apologize for the delays on getting things ready for BackerKit. The Thanksgiving holiday led to some payment delays from Kickstarter which then led to delays in getting BackerKit set up for this campaign. Nevertheless we've managed to get things sorted and are now waiting on BackerKit to review so we should be ready to go by the end of the week. We appreciate everyone's patience in this matter.
Some general guidelines for BackerKit:
BackerKit surveys will be open till October 2020 so you have plenty of time to get things filled out and make changes to your pledges but please remember to actually fill these out even if you do NOT plan to add anything to your existing pledges.
Notably, for those of you receiving a T-shirt or dakimakura cover, we'll need your responses so you can receive the correct sized T-shirt or dakimakura cover design. If we don't get a response by the deadline, it will cause delays in our printing scheduling so we appreciate everyone's cooperation in this matter.
