Latest Updates from Our Project:

Special offer for backers of previous Kickstarter campaigns
over 4 years ago – Sun, Nov 10, 2019 at 10:53:48 PM

Hello everyone!

We're now at the 6 day mark and are getting closer to the goal. We appreciate everyone's support thus far.

We wanted to offer a special bonus to those of you who've stuck around with us since then.  As a token of our appreciation you'll also receive a digital copy of Rewrite Introduction Note plus. This 74 page mini artbook contains a mini comic by mangaka, ZEN as well messages from the staff of Rewrite and a collection of illustrations as well.

If you backed any of our previous campaigns you will be getting an email in the next few hours about how to redeem your offer! Previous campaign backers who already pledged for this campaign should register themselves on the webpage so we can track it properly.

This book was previously released at an overseas event but we're now making it available to backers. It is also completely translated into English!

For everyone else, if you are interested in getting a digital copy, it will be available as a $10 add-on.

That's it for this update. Till next time! '-')/

New Reward Added to the $50 "Rewrite+ Physical Edition" tier and above
over 4 years ago – Fri, Nov 08, 2019 at 12:31:49 AM

Hi everyone,

Thanks for being patient with us, we're happy to announce a bonus reward for everyone who pledged at the $50 "Rewrite+ Physical Edition" tier and above!

Starting at that level, your name will be added to the end credits to be immortalized as a supporter of the Rewrite+ project! This was very popular when we ran the CLANNAD Kickstarter campaign and with Visual Art's blessing, we're happy to offer this reward.

As we get closer to the end of this campaign we'll have more surprises and updates so stay tuned for more and especially keep an eye on your inboxes for something rather interesting. Till next time!

Regular and Limited Edition Physical Packaging Mock-ups
over 4 years ago – Mon, Nov 04, 2019 at 12:54:25 AM

Hello everyone!

We hope you're having a pleasant weekend. For everyone else, a pleasant Monday to you!

We're less than two weeks till the end of this campaign with only about 1/3 of the way to go hit our funding target. As always, we appreciate everyone's support on this campaign.

As promised in a previous update, I'd like to talk a bit about the regular and limited edition physicals for Rewrite+.

First up, is the regular edition. Please note that these are early mock-ups which still need to be approved by Visual Arts so the final version may be different.

The regular edition is housed in a double-thick DVD tall case. While we are still sourcing the dvd boxes, we're aiming for something thicker than the standard 14mm thickness of a Amaray DVD case. It would be something along the lines of the size of the Half-Life 2 PC release box.

The box jacket will be reversible and will feature the Rewrite+ original box art on one side and the artwork for Harvest festa and the original Rewrite on the other.

Next up we have the limited edition packaging.

Since there was only really one limited edition released for the Rewrite franchise, we decided to go with the artwork of the original Rewrite limited edition box. The forest background with all the heroines seemed very fitting to make a nice collectible package.

The inside of the box will house the Rewrite+ regular edition game package as well as the 'Selene' arrange album and "Feast", the Rewrite Harvest festa original soundtrack. Any liner notes in these CDs will be translated into English. While our CLANNAD limited edition box used paper inserts to hold the discs, we are looking into the cost viability of using foam instead. On top of all this will be the Occult Research Club Report mini artbook and the Rewrite of the Life Guidebook. The contents will of course be translated into English. We will try to keep the books the same size as the originals which were A4 (21 cm x 29.7 cm) paper size.

The games of course will be DRM free.

I hope this answers some of the questions you may have for the physical copies of the game. Please note that designs are subject to change but we will let everyone know if/when that happens. As we get closer to the end of the campaign, we'll have more things to announce so stay tuned! '-')/

Rewrite OST Price Change and LE Box Mock-ups Coming Soon
over 4 years ago – Fri, Nov 01, 2019 at 02:09:34 AM

Hello everyone!

As some of you have pointed out, there was quite the discrepancy with what we said regarding the digital Rewrite OST. Originally, we had compared the price of the OST on Japan iTunes which is 2,200 yen but it did not occur to us that the same OST was being sold on iTunes for $10.99 which is a shockingly good bargain for such a large OST. Nevertheless, we were caught unaware and we apologize for this mix-up.

With that said, we will be making readjustments to the various tiers that have the digital OST and the add-on price will be dropped from $15 to $10. Once the new tiers are made, we ask that backers move on to the new tiers so that we can delete the old tiers. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

There are also quite a number of backers that are really curious about what the regular and limited edition of Rewrite+ will look like. While we haven't decided the exact final designs just yet, we are planning on making some mockups to show what they will potentially look like. We should have that up very soon.

That's it for now. Thank you for everyone's interest and patience. We have more updates in store so stay tuned!

New Tiers and Add-ons
over 4 years ago – Thu, Oct 31, 2019 at 12:21:46 AM

Hello everyone,

Thank you to everyone for your feedback on what you wanted to see added to this campaign. After receiving approval from Visual Arts, we're pleased to add several wonderful rewards to this campaign.

From postcards to dakimakura covers, we've got all sorts of new additions that are sure to be of interest to everyone. Of course, there are bound to be some questions so we'll try to field them below.

  • How do add-ons work in Kickstarter?

As Kickstarter doesn't have a system built-in to process add-ons, if you are interested in any add-ons, just calculate the total additional cost and add that to the tier you pledged. Once the campaign is over, you can go into Backerkit to add that particular item(s) to your order. Please note: The add-on price does not include shipping which will be calculated in Backerkit itself.

  • Normal edition? Collector's edition? What does that mean?

The difference is that the normal edition is printed in China and the collector's edition is printed in Japan. After some experimenting with different products, it's come to our attention that some users want dakimakura covers but may be a bit iffy about the cost. Thus, we're offering two different versions for those that want an cheaper alternative and for those that want the original quality. Please note: That nothing on the illustrations themselves is changed.

  • How big are those vinyl stickers?

The vinyl stickers will be about 5.5 in. by 5.5 in.

  • How big are the postcards and posters?

The postcards are standard size and measure 4in. by 6in. The posters are 24in. x 36in.

  • Will the Rewrite OST be available outside of Kickstarter?

Unfortunately, due to contractual agreements, the digital OST will not be made available outside of Kickstarter. Visual Arts does sell the OST on iTunes but the Kickstarter price is significantly cheaper so you may not want to miss out on this.

That's about it for this update. As always thank you to everyone for your support!
