Week One Update
over 4 years ago – Fri, Oct 25, 2019 at 02:58:02 AM

Hey everyone!

We're at the end of week one of this campaign and we've already hit the half way mark. Thank you very much for everyone's support!

There have been more questions coming in about this campaign so we'll do what we can to answer some of those here. As always, points will be summarized and added to the FAQ.

  • What's the deal with the lack of stretch goals?

Over the campaigns we've run over the years, time after time it's occurred to us that unwieldy stretch goals are very detrimental to getting a campaign fulfilled in a reasonable amount of time. The focus this time around is to get Rewrite+ and Harvest Festa to the masses as soon as reasonably possible and for that purpose we decided to reduce the amount of tiers available as well as do away with stretch goals.

  • Okay sure, but some more goods would be nice.

We're actually in discussions with Visual Arts to add a few more goods to the campaign. The top suggestions have been dakimakura covers so we'll see what we can do about that. In order to not add too much confusion, if we get the green light we'll only add a few extra tiers. For everyone else, there will be an option to add extra funds which can then be used to select a dakimakura cover of your choice in BackerKit. Thus we'd like to emphasize to everyone... PLEASE FILL OUT YOUR SURVEYS! We won't be able to get an accurate count to send to the printers when the time comes so it's imperative that if any add-ons are approved that you answer your surveys as soon as possible. We appreciate everyone's cooperation on this.

  • Wait, what about the OST? What's a game release without an OST?

We're also working on this as well. Most likely it will be similar to the CLANNAD campaign where we will be able to offer the OST during the campaign but it will not be available for purchase from us after the campaign is over due to our agreements with Visual Arts.

That's about it. Interested in other goods or have other questions? Feel free to leave them in the comments section below. Till next time! '-')/

Day 2 Update
over 4 years ago – Sat, Oct 19, 2019 at 02:27:57 AM

Happy Friday everyone!

It's the start of day 2 of our Rewrite+ Kickstarter campaign and already we're 41% funded. Thank you very much for everyone's support and interest!

While Rewrite+ and Harvest festa were announced a couple years back during Anime Expo, there have been many hurdles to get over. Conjueror's passing this year was a shock to many of us but nevertheless we are grateful for the work he did and will not forget this and his many other contributions to bringing visual novels to the West.

There's a handful of things we'd like to cover regarding the campaign thus far which will also be added to the FAQ later on.

  • The physical release will not have DRM on it.
  • While the reward item lists only a "digital key", this does in fact refer to both Rewrite+ and Harvest festa as seen in the graphic under the Rewards section. You are getting both games, not one or the other. That was a mistake on our part and we apologize for any confusion caused.
  • The physical regular edition will consist of a DVD tall case with the Rewrite+ and Harvest festa discs inside of it. The $50 tier physical and the $90 tier physical are the same. The only difference is that the $90 tier includes all the digital contents as well.
  • Rewrite+ and Harvest festa are all-ages games. There is no adult content of any sort period.
  • There's currently no plans to offer up a console release for Rewrite+ and Harvest festa. Any that will come out later will be ported and published by Prototype so we have no control over that.
  • Due to agreements with Visual Arts, there is no plan to offer Japanese language option in our release of Rewrite+ and Harvest festa.

That's about it for topics related to what's on the campaign right now. Also, a number of you have expressed an interest in more goods to be added into the campaign. While that wasn't planned in the first place, it's early enough that we can broach these ideas with Visual Arts and get back to everyone as soon as possible.

As always thank you for your continued support. Have a pleasant weekend! '-')/
